No More Excuses

John 5:1-9
Jesus asked the paralytic man sitting by the pool in Bethesda, “Do you want to be made well?” This man has been sitting by that pool for thirty-eight years! The man tells Jesus that he has no one to put him into the pool. Jesus did not ask him that. He asked, “Do you want to be made well?”

We look down at this man. Oh poor pitiful man, he wanted to get into the pool and can’t. He didn’t even recognize the source of his healing when he walked to him. Sounds a lot like us. How many years have we waiting for “our deliverance” for years and not recognized who the deliverer is. We will sign up for conferences, go to church gatherings. We spend more time focusing on the environment. We forget about yielding to the word “By His Stripes We Were Healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24). This is past tensed, meaning it has already been done.

How many of us are waiting for a miracle instead of speaking into that situation and saying “Be Thou Removed!” Jesus told the man “Rise, take your bed and walk.” By the power given to me, through the Blood of Jesus, I declare to you “RISE, TAKE YOUR BED AND WALK!” Get out of that place, get off that mat, and walk! Walk into your destiny! Walk into the purpose God has for you! You do not belong in the woe is me attitude. That’s not a good look for you. You were not created to be a pitiful story! You were created to display the goodness of the Lord. The Glory of The Lord! So GET UP, GET OUT, AND WALK!

Question: What is your excuse?
Things can be good reasons but they are still excuses when you are not pursuing or walking into the things God has already prepared or given you. The reality is that you are not walking in it. God did not ask why the paralytic has not been healed. He asked, “Do you want to be made well?” God is telling you, go and subdue the earth, be fruitful and multiply (Gen 1:28). Not why. It is a command. It is a decree. It means we can do it. In other words, we have no excuse.

How do we deal with the mountains? We deal with mountains through our faith. Mark 11:23 says that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can say to the mountain to be thou removed and it will be cast down to the sea.  First we must have foundation of faith that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and have made Him Lord over our life. Then that mountain of God mentioned in Exodus (the same mountain Moses talks about) will be moved into our heart. When we speak to any other mountain, those mountains will be moved and cast down into the sea because His mountain is greater than those mountains. For greater is He who is in you than He that is in the world(1 John 4:4)!!!

So no more excuses! Run the race! Finish the Course! Persevere and do not faint! Do sit haphazardly waiting on your moment. You moment is NOW! Arise and Walk! Matter of Fact, Arise and Run! Run with the Vision! (Habakukuk 2:1,2)
